Table Top

Fourth of July Tablescape 2018

Decor is expensive! Amirite?!? So for this 4th of July tablescape, I shopped my own home. I enjoy decorating for the holidays, especially when you spend next to nothing. The only money I spent was on the flowers. I usually buy my flowers from Trader Joe’s because they are so inexpensive compared to going to a florist. Flowers is definitely an inexpensive way to make a wow statement with a table setting. Don’t you agree? These white roses were $6.99 for a dozen. Yup, that’s all I spent! 🙌🏼

As I was taking pictures, baby K decided to pull himself onto the chair and reach for the cherries. 🍒  The picture was just too perfect not to include. 😍

I purchased the mini American flags at Target last year. I saw they had them this year too. Three for $1 in the dollar section = score!

I made strawberry lemonade and added festive paper straws I found at Target a couple years ago. HERE are similar ones.

To make the lemonade, cut 1 pound of strawberries up the night before and put them in a sealed container with 1/4 cup of granulated sugar. Leave the mix in the refrigerator overnight. The next day, add 1 cup of the strawberry mix and 1/2 cup of country time lemonade mix to a 2.5 quart pitcher. That’s it! It was so yummy! My oldest sons exact words were, “This is fire, mom.” 🔥😂

For the table setting I used a variety of napkins and just knotted them instead of using a napkin ring. Click HERE for the blue pattern napkins and HERE for the gray linen napkins. I got the idea from the Crate & Barrel Blog. I love the idea of not using napkin rings. Low maintenance = better! Right? Right!

Add some dishes and silverware and you have yourself an easy yet beautiful table setting.

And that’s a wrap! Hope you enjoyed my post and leave here feeling inspired. That’s always my goal. Hope you all have a safe and happy 4th go July!

Until next time friends. Xo
