Spring Tablescape 2018

This year, my Spring tablescape is simple in comparison to last year, but I love the simplicity of it. Don’t get me wrong I am still in love with the setup from last year, but the moss was super messy. 😬 For those that have decorated with moss knows what I’m talking about. You can see my tablescape from last year HERE.

This year I stepped out of my comfort zone and used bright colors. I knew I wanted to make cupcakes using the silicone flower-pot cups I purchased last year from HERE. With the molds being orange I went with pink and orange tulips. Definitely different from my usual color choice of all white everything. 😉

How cute are these spice cake cupcakes? I topped them with almond flavored buttercream & wax flowers my hubby picked up for me from Trader Joe’s. You can get the buttercream icing recipe HERE.

Since our sitting room is still under construction and I needed more seating, I moved the settee from the entryway to the table. Problem solved and zero dollars spent. I love shopping my own home. Don’t you? Even though the settee will be put back after the sitting room is complete, I love that it gives this rustic/modern table setting a touch of elegance.

I found these aged terra-cotta pots at Terrain. They have the most beautiful pots I have ever seen. Like seriously. 😍 Terrain is a little more on the expensive side, so I was dreading looking at the price. But I was pleasantly surprised to see how inexpensive they are. They are also more sturdy than I thought they would be. Bonus!

I converted the pots to vases by putting a juice glass inside the pots and filling the juice glass half way with water. Then I cut the stems down and voila! A fresh flower vase.

I found the napkins at Pier1 on sale. They were $11 for a set of six. 🙌🏼

And that’s a wrap! Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed my post and you leave here feeling inspired to create spaces you love that represent YOUR style. I would love to know what you think! Comment below or message me in Instagram. My handle is @acarriedaffairdesigns
