Hi! My name is Carrie. I am a full time IT Service Manager by day, a baker/DIYer/home decorator by night, and a wife and mom always.

I was born and raised in the country. Most people I meet don’t believe me when I tell them that. I guess I don’t look the part? 🤷🏻‍♀️ I do love designer clothes, but I also love thrift stores and yard sales! I am not afraid to get my hands dirty even if I am wearing a nice dress. I had a humble upbringing raised by my grandparents who adopted me as their own at a very young age. My mom was a painter, gardener, seamstress, baker. A maker. A creator. I remember watching her simultaneously baking fresh bread and canning tomatoes that she grew in her garden. I learned so much from her and I am so grateful. Well, except gardening. I can’t keep anything green alive for more than a couple weeks. 😭😂 I believe I got my creativity and resourcefulness from her and I thank her for that often.

I am a boy mom. ❤ I might be biased but I have the two most handsome boys.

My oldest looks just like me. Can you tell? My youngest not so much. See below. He looks like he came out of my husband. I swear he is mine! 😂

I enjoy decorating and restyling our house to make it ours. My goal is to inspire you to make the most of what you have and finding YOUR style that fits YOUR budget.

I find beauty in all things. I have an eclectic style. When I have free time you’ll find me baking, building, crafting, or painting. Chances are, if I’m painting furniture the color is white. I love fresh flowers. The smell of fresh cut grass. The scent of lilac. I am a country girl at heart ❤. I believe in rolling up your sleeves and getting things done. I’m a doer. A hard worker.

On my blog you will find all the things I am passionate about. I hope you enjoy my tutorials and find inspiration in my posts. Thank you for stopping by. Xo

Hi! Where did you buy the hardware for your floating shelves? We’ve been looking but nothing holds a lot of weight. Seeing your baking items on yours I know they will hold our dishes. Thanks!!!! If you could provide a link that’d be amazing.

Hi! Sorry I’m just now seeing this. I need to be better at looking. I purchased them from Lowe’s. I’ve had a couple people use my tutorial and I would recommend to use a thicker steel bracket if you intend to put a lot of weight on them. You can buy the thicker ones at lowes as well that look exactly like mine. Hope that helps!

You have made a beautiful Christmas pie with the snowflakes and the reindeer pulling the sleigh, can you please tell me where you got the cookie cutters or presses you used?
