I was experimenting a couple of weeks ago with cookie dough and came up with a pretty tasty recipe, so I am sharing it with you.
This recipe is quiet easy and a crowd pleaser. And when I say crowd, I mean my family.
Cookie Dough Ingredients:
1 egg
1 1/2 sticks of butter softened
1 3/4 cups of flour
3/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup dark brown sugar (packed)
3/4 tsp baking soda
3/4 cup white granulated sugar
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp almond extract
Topping:
Sugar in the Raw
Dark chocolate chip chunks
This recipe makes 24-30 cookies
Step 1: Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees
Step 2: In a mixer, beat the butter for about 45 seconds.
Step 3: Add the extracts and egg and beat until combined.
Step 4: Add the remaining cookie dough ingredients and mix on medium speed until blended.
Step 5: Spray a cookie sheet with baking spray and drop cookies with a spoon (approx 1 heaping tsp per cookie) spaced out about 2 inches apart. Twelve cookies should fit on one sheet.
Step 6: Bake for 8-10 minutes
Step 7: Remove from oven and immediately add 2-5 chocolate chunks to the center of each cookie then sprinkle the tops with Sugar in the Raw.
I love chocolate, but my hubby is not a huge fan, so I added about 5 to half the cookies and 2, to the other half. Marriage is all about compromise right?
And that’s a wrap! I hope you enjoyed my post. Let me know if you use my recipe. I would LOVE to know what you think! These cookies were definitely yummy and super easy to make. 😋 My hubby loved them so much that he told me not to take them to work so he could enjoy them. 😂 Sorry coworkers. 😆
Until next time. Xo
