This year we are hosting Thanksgiving, so I spent some time trying to figure out how I wanted to style the table. I didn’t want a tall centerpiece or a complicated one. The point of having family over for dinner is to reminisce. Talk. It would be hard to do that if I had a tall centerpiece blocking the view. I just wanted something simple. Something easy to move, because we all know that the centerpiece gets moved to make room for the food. Amirite?
For this post I am sharing two simple tablescapes with you. The only money spent was on the pumpkins ($1 each) and flowers ($10). It cost about $20 total to create both. Everything else I already had on hand.
Tablescape 1
I used mini white pumpkins and brass candlestick holders for both looks. Super simple! The pumpkins were $1 each. So it cost $10 total to create this table setting. Score!
I found the brass candlestick holders at an antique store last year and I have used them countless times since. My favorite part about them are the scratches and tarnished areas. I think it gives them character.
The dinnerware is from Target. I love the bead trim on them. It is elegant but simple.

Tablescape 2
Of the two tablescapes I put together for this post, this is by far my favorite. I love the pumpkin centerpiece. I got the idea from @roomsforrent Such a fun centerpiece that is simple to create.
I love the muted orange against the white roses and eucalyptus. Simply beautiful. To recreate this centerpiece you’ll need a medium to large size pumpkin. Remove the top of the pumpkin then scoop out all the gooey stuff and seeds. Use a vase that is short enough to be hidden. Fill the vase with water and add fresh stems of your choice. That’s it! It took me less than 15 minutes to assemble.
It makes such a statement, don’t you think? I used the same white pumpkins and candlestick holders from the first tablescape I shared above. I usually buy flowers from Trader Joe’s. They are inexpensive. About $10 for both roses and eucalyptus.
I linked most of the products in this post along with some other favorite items I use frequently to create tablecapes. You can find the details under Shop This Post at the bottom.
That’s a wrap! I hope you enjoyed my post and leave here feeling inspired to create a centerpiece that you love for the upcoming holiday.
Until next time friends. Xo
