I took this peach pie to my in-laws house for a fall party and I got a lot of compliments on it, so I decided to share the recipe with you. I am usually big on using butter for my pie recipes, but I wanted to try one without it. I am happy to report that it was still very tasty!
Filling Ingredients
6-7 fresh ripe peaches 🍑 – peeled and sliced
2 tsps cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
Pinch of salt
1 cup light brown sugar
4 tbsp cornstarch
Pie Crust
3 store-bought pie crusts
Kitchen Utensils
9″ pie pan – This is my favorite
Large mixing bowl
Pairing knife (to slice the peaches)
Wooden spoon
Measuring cups & spoons
Foil (to cover the pie)
Cookie sheet (optional)
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Step 2: Spray the inside of your 9″ pie pan with non-stick baking spray.
Step 3: Roll out one of the store-bought pie crusts and put it in the bottom of the pie pan.
Step 4: Peel, slice, and remove the pits from the peaches. Make sure to rinse them off first.
Step 5: Mix together all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl until well combined.
Step 6: Design your top crust! This is by far my favorite part. I used THESE pie crust cutters from Williams Sonoma and similar to THESE leaf pie crust cutters from Amazon.
Step 7: Place the unbaked pie on a cookie sheet and cover with foil. Make sure to spray the foil with the non-stick baking spray before covering the pie. This will prevent the foil from sticking to the top crust. For more tips & tricks to baking pies CLICK HERE.
Step 8: Bake the covered pie for 35 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 30 minutes or until the top crust is golden brown. I usually check every 5 minutes during the last 10 minutes of baking to ensure the top pie crust isn’t burning. If it is, I cover it with the foil again.
Step 9: Enjoy!
