Hi! My name is Carrie. A Hoosier native. I was born and raised in the country. I had a humble upbringing raised by my grandparents who adopted me as their own at a very young age. My mom was a painter, gardener, seamstress, baker. A maker. A creator. I remember watching her simultaneously baking fresh bread and canning tomatoes that she grew in her garden. I learned so much from her and I am so grateful. Well, except gardening. I can’t keep anything green alive for more than a couple weeks. 😭😂 I believe I got my creativity and resourcefulness from her and I thank her for that often.

I am a boy mom. ❤️

I enjoy decorating and restyling our house to make it ours. My goal is to inspire you to make the most of what you have and finding YOUR style that fits YOUR budget.

I find beauty in all things. My style is clean, simple, and elegant with a touch a modern farmhouse. When I have free time you’ll find me baking, building, crafting, or painting. Chances are, if I’m painting furniture the color is white. I love fresh flowers. The smell of fresh cut grass. The scent of lilac. I am a country girl at heart ❤️. I believe in rolling up your sleeves and getting things done. I’m a doer. A hard worker.

On my blog you will find all the things I am passionate about. I hope you enjoy my tutorials and find inspiration in my posts. Thank you for stopping by. Xo

  1. Hi! Where did you buy the hardware for your floating shelves? We’ve been looking but nothing holds a lot of weight. Seeing your baking items on yours I know they will hold our dishes. Thanks!!!! If you could provide a link that’d be amazing.

  2. Hi! Sorry I’m just now seeing this. I need to be better at looking. I purchased them from Lowe’s. I’ve had a couple people use my tutorial and I would recommend to use a thicker steel bracket if you intend to put a lot of weight on them. You can buy the thicker ones at lowes as well that look exactly like mine. Hope that helps!

  3. Hi Carrie- somehow I found you on Instagram and love your things-so I would love to subscribe to your blog-how could I accomplish that?

Thank you! I would love to get your posts, including the one where he and you tell exactly how to make the beautiful balloon garland that is on your Instagram today. Good luck in getting it hung! I suggest command hooks 😬😊
    Thanks, Susan in charlotte
